Introduction for patients and medical professionals

Immunocore is a world leading T cell (TCR) receptor biotechnology company, with a highly innovative immuno-oncology platform technology called ImmTAC®.

What is an ImmTAC molecule?

ImmTAC (Immune mobilising monoclonal TCRs Against Cancer) molecules are a new class of bi-specific biologic molecules that combine an affinity-enhanced T cell receptor (TCR)-based targeting system with an anti-CD3 (scFv) effector function to activate a highly potent and specific T cell response to recognise and destroy cancer cells.

What clinical trials are Immunocore running?

IMCgp100 is Immunocore’s lead programme is currently in clinical trials for the treatment of late-stage metastatic melanoma including cutaneous and uveal melanoma. IMCgp100 comprises an affinity-enhanced T cell receptor (TCR) that recognises an HLA-A2-restricted peptide from the melanoma-associated antigen gp100, fused to an anti-CD3 single chain antibody fragment (scFv).
